I’m David T. Andrews and PrepaidDebitCardsOnline.com is my blog.

I’ve worked for almost 20 years in different parts of the financial sector and in that time I’ve watched common sense spending evaporate. At the same time, I’ve seen credit change from being an elegant financial tool into a misused and mismanaged commodity.

My friends got tired of listening to me rail about the sorry financial state we all find ourselves in and they challenged me to do something about it. So I started this blog to try to do just that – make my own (small) difference.

I think we’ve lost our way when it comes to how we manage our finances and in particular our credit. I don’t believe credit is something we should use casually everyday like a dish cloth. We need to more seriously consider what we buy and how we buy it.

That’s why I’ve become such an evangelist for prepaid debit cards. These are the types of cards we should have in our wallets because they’re easy to use, but they also require us to be more disciplined in our spending. And when we become more disciplined spenders, our lives are easier to manage which gives us more time for the things we truly enjoy.
